Job summary

COMSO, Inc. seeks a database administrator experienced with Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, and Oracle to join a skilled team supporting on-premises and cloud databases. You will patch, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and help automate routine tasks in a mission-focused environment.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, implement AWS cloud technologies, and contribute to process improvements that keep our databases reliable and secure across multiple networks.

Qualifications

• Ten years experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Compliance with DOD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II. (CCNA - SECURITY, GICSP, GSEC, Security +, SSCP)

Responsibilities

• Looking for a self-motivated individual that wants to learn new skills and contribute to the growth and maturity of the processes used to support and maintain databases by a small, talented team.
• This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases on multiple networks using on-premise datacenters and cloud environments.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating, maintaining, patching and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server databases, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, and a willingness to automate processes where possible.
