Job summary

COMSO, Inc. seeks a database administrator experienced with Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, and Oracle to join a skilled team supporting on-premises and cloud databases. You will patch, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and help automate routine tasks in a mission-focused environment.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, implement AWS cloud technologies, and contribute to process improvements that keep our databases reliable and secure across multiple networks.

Qualifications

Ten years experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Compliance with DOD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II. (CCNA - SECURITY, GICSP, GSEC, Security +, SSCP)

Responsibilities

Looking for a self-motivated individual that wants to learn new skills and contribute to the growth and maturity of the processes used to support and maintain databases by a small, talented team.
This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases on multiple networks using on-premise datacenters and cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating, maintaining, patching and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server databases, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, and a willingness to automate processes where possible.

The environment consists of databases hosted both in on-premise datacenters and in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating, maintaining, patching and troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft SQL Server databases, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, works well in a small team setting, has a desire to automate processes where possible, and a willingness to think outside the box to find solutions.
