Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an IT Database Engineer to design, deploy, and support relational database platforms in data centers and Azure, covering installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability, backups, and incident response. You will work with MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, supporting on-call rotations for mission-critical workloads.

Responsibilities include day-to-day DBA tasks, performance troubleshooting, and collaboration with development teams on schema deployment,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Experience in data centers and Azure cloud environments.
• Knowledge of HA/DR and backup/restore strategies.
• Automation scripting for database operations.
• Networking/OS/virtualization basics relevant to database performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL in data center and Azure environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity; define alerts and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Design and maintain backup/recovery procedures; test restores.
• Implement security controls and support schema changes across environments.
