RedSky seeks an experienced Database Administrator (TS/SCI) to join the DoD support team in Tampa. You will manage Microsoft SQL Server, Dataverse, SharePoint content databases, and related analytics sources in a classified multi-site environment.

The role focuses on high availability, performance, security, and DoD RMF/NIST alignment, with Power Platform integration, BI dashboards, and enterprise reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database administration experience in classified environments.
• Five+ years in GCC High, IL-4/IL-5/IL-6, SIPRNet, or JWICS environments.
• SQL Server installation, patching, tuning, backup/recovery, HA, security hardening.
• Proficient in T-SQL and complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views.
• Experience with Azure SQL, Dataverse, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online data.
• ETL design/maintenance using SSIS or Power Automate dataflows.
• Knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, and encryption standards.
• CompTIA Security+ certification; ITIL 4 Fundamentals preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

This specific Database Administrator will ensure that all structured data stores — including Microsoft SQL Server, Dataverse, SharePoint content databases, and supporting analytics data sources — operate with maximum availability, performance, integrity, and security across a classified, multi-site SOF environment. This role enables reliable data storage, retrieval, and integration for the knowledge management platforms, Power Platform applications, business intelligence dashboards, and enterprise reporting capabilities that drive SOF decision superiority as an overall objective to design, deploy, manage, optimize, and secure the database infrastructure underpinning the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Management or related discipline -OR- equivalent combination of technical certifications and seven (7+) years of hands-on database administration experience in lieu of degree
• Five (5+) years of database administration experience within classified environments (preferably GCC High, IL-4/IL-5/IL-6, SIPRNet, or JWICS), with a primary expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later).
• Four (4+) years of experience of demonstrated proficiency in SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability (Always On, clustering), and security hardening.
• Three (3+) years of experience of T-SQL skills — ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and cursors
• Three (3+) years of experience of with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or Azure Synapse Analytics
• Four (4+) years of experience SharePoint Online data architecture — content databases, search indexes, large list management, and throttling behavior
• (4+) years of experience designing and managing ETL processes using SSIS, Power Automate dataflows, or equivalent tools.
• Four (4+) years of experience comprehending least-privilege access, role-based security, auditing, and encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted and implementing database security controls aligned with DoD STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF requirements
• Four (4+) years of pragmatic experience administering Microsoft Dataverse environments — table design, security roles, business rules, storage management, and integration with Power Apps and Power Automate
• Four (4+) years of experience designing data models, datasets, and data refresh architectures for Power BI. Familiarity with DAX, Power Query / M, and DirectQuery vs. Import modes
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• ITIL 4 Fundamentals certification preferred
