Data Warehouse and BI Developer - No C2C and Must be located in Houston, TX

We are looking for a Sr. Data Warehouse and BI Developer to join our IT team. This person will oversee our Data Warehouse, Dashboards, SQL, and Power BI Reports.

Compensation: 90-95k

Location: Houston, TX (Galleria)

Job Duties

1. Troubleshoot and tune existing Data Warehouse, Dashboards, and Reporting systems.
2. Write and modify SSRS and Power BI reports.
3. Design and improve current ETL processes.
4. Create and update Power BI Data Models.
5. Own and develop relationships with end-users, working with them to optimize and enhance existing reports and integrations.
6. Help design, document, and maintain system processes.
7. Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
8. Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or Information Science.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
3. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 onwards, Transact-SQL, and Business Intelligence Development Studio (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio).
4. Power BI Experience.
5. Knowledge in Azure Data Factory and Pipelines.
6. Familiarity with Essbase and MDX scripts a plus.
7. Operational Data Warehouse experience.
8. Must demonstrate basic knowledge or expertise in the following technology disciplines: Servers, Desktop/Laptop/Workstation Computing, Networking, Security, Programming, and/or IT Operations.
9. Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) required.
11. Detail-oriented and ability to work in a team setting.
12. Ability to be a self-starter and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
13. Maintains a positive attitude.
14. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment.
15. Willing to learn new systems and technology.
