Lead efforts to design, innovate, and implement solutions to improve systems and processes. Advocate for customers to understand business needs and identify improvement/productivity opportunities. Possesses critical thinking skills to assess analytical needs and determine the appropriate course of action. Manage successful relationships across project teams and facilitate the development of optimal solutions. Use performance improvement, project management, cost accounting, industrial engineering, and technological skills to work with all levels of WVUHS management and medical staff. Continuous learning of current database structures and business intelligence tools is required to confer with customers and other application team members. Effectively communicate across all organizational levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

• Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or Hospital Administration, OR 4 years of data analytics experience.
• This position requires an EPIC official designation of “Proficient” within the new hire probationary period.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year experience working with relational database structures including design, testing, troubleshooting, and/or training.
• 1 year experience in data analysis and/or healthcare planning background.
• 1 year experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Experience with SQL/Oracle and/or Business Objects.

OR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, OR 4 years of data analytics experience.
• This position requires an EPIC official designation of “Proficient” within the new hire probationary period.
• 2 years experience working with relational database structures including design, testing, troubleshooting, and/or training.
• 2 years experience in data analysis and/or healthcare planning background.
• 2 years experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.

• Internal employees must meet all current position competencies for promotion within IT.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with applications supported and experience with SQL/Oracle and/or business intelligence tools.
