Department: 12226 Advocate Aurora Health Corporate - Enterprise Operational Reporting

Status: Full time

Schedule Details/Additional Information: This is a remote position, working during normal business hours 9am-5pm.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance, communication skills, and the ability to effectively integrate varied components of a system.
  2. Independently complete analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions to fulfill business needs. Provide expertise in areas to assist fellow team members with analysis and development of solutions fitting enterprise solutions.
  3. Work independently or as part of a group and balance multiple priorities while consistently completing complex tasks on time in a goal-oriented manner.
  4. Work closely with end users to understand and translate business needs to create well-designed and validated solutions using business intelligence tools, while overseeing team member designs to ensure alignment with BI strategy.
  5. Maintain technical currency and certifications in areas of responsibility; communicate effectively with team members and associates at all levels.
  6. Provide complete and accurate documentation for work based on current standards; coordinate with team members to develop standards and documentation as needed.
  7. Provide production support for business intelligence solutions, including problem analysis, break/fix, design/modeling, implementation/coding, and testing.
  8. Serve as a SME on initiatives requiring business intelligence expertise.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  1. Epic Cogito Data Warehouse certification issued by Epic, to be obtained within 90 days.
  2. Epic Caboodle Data Model certification issued by Epic, to be obtained within 90 days.
  3. Epic Clarity Administration certification issued by Epic, to be obtained within 90 days.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  1. Team player with a positive attitude, strong customer service commitment, and a desire to learn healthcare systems and processes.
  2. Experience in database design, data modeling, development methodology, and physical schema design.
  3. Experience in data extracts, migration, queuing facilities, and database normalization techniques.
  4. Strong knowledge of business intelligence concepts and designs.
  5. Ability to work independently or in a team, managing multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
  6. Leadership skills to lead large projects and implement standards.
  7. Mentoring ability in BI space.
  8. Experience in designing/developing enterprise BI solutions.

Fully remote from AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY. Remote work NOT permitted in CA, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and internationally.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  1. Travel outside the workplace is required; exposed to weather and road conditions.
