Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking an Associate, Data Transformation & Governance to support governance, data quality, and retention across acquired‑company data integration. The role involves cataloging both structured systems and unstructured content and coordinating with data governance leads, security, and implementation partners.

You will help ensure data migration, archival, and analytics enablement are organized, traceable, and compliant with enterprise standards. A hybrid work model is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data management, or data quality.
• Familiarity with unstructured content governance and retention concepts.
• Understanding of data ownership, metadata, lineage, and catalog practice.
• Experience supporting data migration, archival, or transformation readiness.
• Ability to maintain governance documentation and compliance evidence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain governance documentation for acquired‑company integration and data standards.
• Support data migration, modernization, archival, and analytics enablement workstreams.
• Build and maintain inventory for structured and unstructured data sources.
• Record content attributes: category, sensitivity, ownership, purpose, volume, disposition.
• Prepare summaries of content categories for migration planning.
• Review unstructured content for sensitive material and document findings.
