Job summary

Bottomline is seeking a Data Technology Counsel to review and negotiate technology contracts with customers, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes internal stakeholder collaboration and alignment with corporate goals.

Candidates will provide expert legal advice on privacy and data regulations, and supervise governance across complex data technology issues. Some attendance at the Portsmouth office is required per policy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar in good standing with a state bar association.
• 5+ years of privacy, technology and data protection law experience.
• Proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate license, SaaS, service and resale contracts.
• Work with Fraud & Compliance and Digital Banking units to provide guidance;
• Advise on privacy, data regulations, compliance and governance.
• Monitor changes in privacy regulations and communicate potential impacts.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, finance and business teams on legal issues.
