Cipher Tech Solutions, Inc. in the Greater Baltimore Area seeks a seasoned data leader reporting to the CIO Services Task lead.

The role supervises a 10-20 engineer team embedded at a US Government partner site, guiding data architecture, engineering, records management, and data science initiatives. You will balance hands-on delivery with administrative oversight, collaborating with project management for requirements prioritization and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/CE/EE/IT/Math/Physics or related field.
• Minimum five years post-grad professional experience.
• Minimum of one year leading and supervising teams in the last three years.
• Minimum of three years with building/operating/defending network infrastructure.
• Minimum of two years leading data lakes and modern data strategies.
• Experience as a data scientist/ data engineer or related field.
• PMP certification required.
• DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture and engineering initiatives across a government contractor program.
• Manage records management, knowledge management, and data science efforts.
