Job summary

Cipher Tech Solutions, located in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Data Task Lead with TS+SCI eligibility to oversee a technical team embedded at a government partner site. The role blends individual contribution with leadership of 10-20 engineers, driving data architecture, records and knowledge management, and data science initiatives.

The position requires a TS clearance, PMP, and DoD 8570 IAT III/CISSP, with a strong background in AWS/Azure and AI integration.

Qualifications

• US citizen with TS clearance at Top Secret level or higher
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Math or Physics
• Minimum five years of post-graduate professional experience
• Minimum of one year of experience in the last three years leading and supervising teams
• Minimum of three years in the last ten years building, operating, securing, defending, and extending network infrastructure
• Minimum of two years in the last seven years leading and supervising personnel developing and implementing data lakes and other modern data strategies
• Experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or related field
• PMP certification
• DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+) certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience managing services in AWS and Azure
• Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence into daily workflows for process improvement
• Certifications in AWS and Azure, architecture-focused preferred
• DoD 8570 IAT III (e.g., CISSP) certification

Responsibilities

• Reports to the CIO Services Task Lead and manages a technical team embedded at a US Government partner site
• Leads data architecture and engineering, records management, knowledge management, and data science initiatives
• Acts as an individual contributor while providing administrative oversight of 10-20 engineers
• Collaborates with project management teams for requirements prioritization and reporting
