Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, Department of Education – Oliver Hodge Education Building, seeks a Project Manager, Data to lead federally required data management for SoonerStart. This full-time, in‑person role ensures data oversight, compliance with 34 CFR, and development of essential reports in Oklahoma City.

Responsibilities include data leadership, system oversight, analytics, and interagency data sharing. Strong data reporting, training, and coordination with districts are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, business, policy analysis or related field (transcripts required).
• Two years of experience within the SoonerStart program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Lead federally required Data Manager responsibilities for SoonerStart and 34 CFR compliance.
• Oversee statewide data system operations to ensure functionality and data accuracy.
• Maintain data systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure FERPA‑compliant data collection and management.
• Develop analytical reports reflecting all services and inform program improvements.
• Establish data-sharing agreements with partner agencies and represent the program at meetings.
• Provide training and daily support for state and local personnel using the data system.
