Job summary

New York Edge seeks a Data Manager to lead the Data Department, driving program data, reporting, and compliance. You will establish standards, manage staff, and deliver timely, accurate information to guide decisions across leadership, programs, and funders.

You will oversee data systems, coordinate reporting cycles, and ensure quality controls while partnering with executives to align data with program goals and financial requirements.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience managing program data, reporting, compliance, or evaluation.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff development and accountability.
• Proven project-management skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills for data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
• Experience with funder or government reporting systems (DYCD Connect, Salesforce, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of data-quality controls and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Data Department and set priorities.
• Develop annual and quarterly work plans, service standards, and goals.
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Program, Finance, and Development teams to align data processes.
• Ensure timely reporting to DYCD, DOE, and funders; manage audits and compliance.
