Chopine Analytic Solutions in Springfield, VA is seeking a Senior Data Steward to manage geospatial data and metadata, ensuring accuracy and interoperability across mission teams. Requires TS/SCI clearance with CI/Poly eligibility and hands-on experience with GIS, data schemas, and R or Python scripting.

The role emphasizes collaboration across technical and mission-focused groups, proficiency with ArcGIS, SQL databases, and data governance best practices.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI Clearance with CI/Poly eligibility.
• 10+ years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience including degree programs, professional certifications, and military training.
• Demonstrated understanding of GIS, data schemas, and geo-referencing of information.
• Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications.
• Knowledge of RDBMS architectures, data normalization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases (SDEs).
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Online, Portal, Excel, Access, and SQL for spatial data management.
• Familiarity with ontology concepts related to information systems and data modeling.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and mission-focused teams.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as R or Python.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly.
• 10+ years of relevant experience
  • OR a combination of education and years of experience including but not limited to degree programs, professional certifications, and military training
• Demonstrated understanding of GIS, data schemas, and the geo-referencing of information
• Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) architectures, best practices for data normalization, and performance tuning/optimization techniques
• Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases, such as Spatial Database Engines (SDEs)
• Knowledge of tools such as the ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Online, Portal, Excel, Access, and SQL for the storage, organization, and maintenance of spatial data
• Familiarity with ontology concepts as they relate to information systems, data modeling, and data relationships
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player across technical and mission-focused teams
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as R or Python

COMPENSATION

Base salaries at CAS are determined by various factors, including work location, an individual’s education, knowledge, skills, experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of CAS's total compensation package.
