Job description

Capital PWL manages end-to-end procurement and logistics support for large commercial and industrial clients.

We are hiring a high-caliber STEM professional to support the operational controls of these efforts, and to act as a central hub for data management, internal process improvements, and technical expertise supporting field and management personnel.

This role sits inside the “engine room” of the program.

You will manage and operate the data systems, documentation workflows, procurement lifecycle tracking, team communication, and quality checks that keep everything moving. You will act as the go-to technical operator at the heart of the program, brainstorming system improvements, protecting data integrity, and taking accountability of extensive data collection, processing, and documentation efforts.

This is hands-on work. It requires precision, discipline, and ownership, and we are looking for a data-loving, detail-driven professional who takes pride in doing things correctly and is eager to grow quickly.

Your job is to own the data, catch issues early, and help make the system stronger.

What You’ll Do
  • Own, maintain, and strengthen the core systems and datasets that drive equipment procurement, documentation, and delivery execution.
  • Keep real-world data accurate, clean, and consistent across field inputs, internal reviews, vendor documentation, and client deliverables
  • Support high level project reporting by organizing packages, checking that details align, and keeping statuses accurate
  • Assist with data collection and analysis; work in a team to perform technical comparisons of engineering requirements and specifications
  • Closely track releases, production status, deliveries, and invoicing milestones, with regular and strict reporting requirements
  • Support financial tracking, invoicing, change order documentation and follow-through
  • Initiate and refine continual improvement efforts across document templates, in-house tools, quality processes, and project workflows.

You will identify the issues that others miss — before they become expensive mistakes.

Performance Expectations
  • Catch mistakes before they leave the building
  • Maintain year-over-year data consistency
  • Improve the system, not just maintain it
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Math, Data/Analytics, Engineering or related STEM field preferred
  • 0–3 years experience welcome. Early-career technical professional with high standards

You do not need years of experience.

You do need discipline, intelligence, and work ethic.

Alternative qualifications: Strong project and program controls experience (3-5 years) with exceptional discipline and proven skills in excel, data management, and quality.

Technical & Analytical Skills
  • Strong Excel proficiency and comfort working with structured data
  • Logical thinker who can trace inputs → outputs → inconsistencies
  • Comfortable learning proprietary internal tools
  • Interested in improving systems, not just operating them
Documentation & Administrative Rigor
  • Ability to manage large volumes of technical documents accurately
  • Careful with naming, versioning, and organization
Work Style
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Independent and driven
  • Coachable and adaptable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, construction‑adjacent environment
  • Willing to do disciplined work consistently, even when repetitive
  • Professional maturity and confidentiality

This is detailed, structured, precision work. If you enjoy solving puzzles in spreadsheets and spotting things others miss, you’ll thrive here.

What This Role Is Not
  • A passive “support” role
  • A software engineering position

This is hands‑on program control work with real consequences.

Growth Path
You will gain exposure to
  • Hands‑on execution for large industrial and commercial clients
  • Internal systems and process development
  • Real‑world technical applications
  • Supply chain logistics and warehouse management
  • Executive reporting
  • $65,000 – $78,000 based on experience and demonstrated ability
  • Full‑time in‑person position
  • Benefits include health insurance, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), and more.
