Demand & Supply Chain Analyst

Irwindale, CA, US

14 days ago Requisition ID: 1045

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

The Supply Chain Analyst is a high-visibility analytical role at the center of WPIA's planning and execution engine. You will turn data into decisions — building the forecasts, inventory analyses, and performance dashboards that leaders across Operations, Procurement, and Finance rely on every day. In a PE-backed environment where working capital, service levels, and cost discipline are watched closely, your analysis will have a direct line to the metrics that matter most.

This is a builder's role with genuine room to grow. You will help stand up planning processes, sharpen ERP data integrity, and bring analytical rigor to S&OP — with exposure to senior leadership and a clear development path as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities Planning & Forecasting
  • Support demand and supply planning across customer programs, translating customer forecasts and open orders into material and capacity requirements.
  • Maintain and improve planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, MOQs, reorder points) in the ERP system.
  • Support the S&OP process with data preparation, scenario analysis, and clear, decision-ready reporting.
Inventory & Working Capital
  • Analyze inventory levels, turns, aging, and obsolescence risk across raw materials, components, and finished goods; recommend actions to optimize working capital.
  • Support cycle count and physical inventory programs, investigating and resolving root causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Partner with Finance on inventory valuation, E&O reserves, and month-end reporting.
  • Track supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead-time reliability) and support supplier scorecard reviews.
  • Analyze purchase price variance and material cost trends; support sourcing initiatives and cost-savings tracking.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and expedite critical materials to protect production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Build and maintain supply chain KPI dashboards (fill rate, OTIF, inventory turns, forecast accuracy) for operations and executive audiences.
  • Champion ERP data integrity — item masters, BOMs, lead times, and costing data — as the foundation for reliable planning.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in planning, purchasing, and materials management processes.
  • Support ad hoc analyses for senior leadership, including capacity studies, make/buy assessments, and customer onboarding planning.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, or operations analytics — ideally in a manufacturing, contract packaging, or CPG environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling); strong comfort working with large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, Deacom or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
  • Effective communicator — comfortable engaging with planners, buyers, plant leaders, and executives alike.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience in contract packaging, co-manufacturing, or health and wellness / dietary supplement manufacturing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, reflecting our Southern California workforce and supplier base.
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or active progress toward certification.
  • Exposure to a private equity–backed or high-growth environment with rigorous reporting expectations.
What WPIA Offers
  • A high-visibility analytical seat in a profitable, growing PE-backed company where supply chain performance is a strategic priority.
  • The opportunity to build planning processes, dashboards, and analytical infrastructure — not just maintain them.
  • Direct exposure to senior operations and finance leadership, with real influence on decisions.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and performance-based incentives.
  • Career development potential commensurate with company growth — WPIA rewards talent and performance.
