Handshake AI is seeking a data scientist to drive analytics across our human data training workflows. You’ll write advanced SQL to analyze large datasets and build dashboards for product and operations teams.

You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate questions into analyses and actionable insights. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in data science, BI, or product analytics, strong data judgment, and ownership of complex work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, BI, or related analytical role.
• Expert-level SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to work with imperfect data.
• Experience defining metrics and influencing product or business decisions.
• High ownership mindset and ability to drive complex work forward.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Write advanced SQL to analyze large, complex datasets.
• Define, build, and maintain core metrics for data quality, throughput, and efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and stakeholders to answer high-impact questions.
• Conduct analyses to inform workflow design and improvements.
• Build dashboards and self-serve analytics for fast, informed decisions.
• Identify data gaps and collaborate to resolve them.
• Translate business questions into clear analyses and recommendations.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
