Job summary

Carbon Data Solutions is seeking a remote Data Scientist to develop recommendation engines and predictive models for a leading social collaboration platform. You will mine and analyze data, assess new data sources, and build scalable data models to drive product development.

The role requires strong problem solving, fluency in English, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization. A drive to learn new technologies and meet deadlines is essential.

Job description

• This is a remote position;
• Developing recommendation engines for a modern social collaboration platform owned by one of the biggest companies in Europe from scratch;
• Clear communication to stakeholders and team members about project status;
• Working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions;
• Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development;
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques;
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets;
• Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences;
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes;
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.

Requirements

• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development;
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets;
• Experience working with and creating data architectures;
• Good communication skills;
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques;
• Capacity to work and deliver on a deadline;
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with working on a social media platform;
