Job summary

Quora’s Data Team empowers product and company strategy through rigorous experimentation, analytics, and data-driven storytelling. You will work with product managers, designers, and engineers to devise measurements, run randomized experiments, build visualizations, and tackle open-ended problems that reveal usage patterns and opportunities.

We work across domains like user growth, content quality, monetization, personalization, and marketplace dynamics to shape long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years work experience in an analytical or quantitative role, including 1+ as a Data Scientist or similar title.
• Experience with large data sets and distributed computing tools (e.g., Presto/Trino).
• Experience evaluating experiments or recommender systems in offline analysis and online experiments.
• Ability to translate business needs into analytical questions and explain results to cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate experiments to measure the impact of product and strategic changes.
• Devise measurements and metrics, and build visualizations to uncover usage patterns.
• Own well-scoped problem spaces from framing questions to implementing solutions.
• Analyze data to identify root causes of metric movements and inform product decisions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to integrate data-driven insights.
