Job summary

BAL is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Business Intelligence and Insights Team in Richardson, TX. You will leverage advanced analytics, statistics, ML, and AI to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the firm.

You will partner with Data Science leadership to apply AI-enabled solutions, build predictive models, and develop scalable analytics using enterprise data like Cobalt. Strong business acumen and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Economics, Analytics, or related field
• Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, CS, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, BI, or related
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
• Proficiency in Python for analytics, automation, ML, and AI
• Experience with Agentic AI, LLMs, AI platforms, or intelligent automation preferred
• Strong understanding of predictive modeling, ML, statistics, and forecasting
• Experience with large datasets, data warehouses, and enterprise reporting
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
• Experience with Cobalt or similar enterprise platforms
• Analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, data quality focus
• Ability to translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter, multi-priority
• Experience in Professional Services or Law Firm preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models, analyses, and forecasts to support business objectives

• Automate workflows with Python and AI technologies
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
