Job summary

BAL is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Products team, focusing on AI-driven Python API development, data pipelines, and scalable back-end services.

You should have 5+ years in software development, strong Python and API skills, and experience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and ML tools. This role requires relocation to the Dallas–Fort Worth area and a commitment to reporting to the Richardson office three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and data interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Back-end development for AI-focused APIs and data pipelines.
• Design and develop software using Python, AWS, Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Optimize applications for reliability, speed, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers.
• Mentor other engineers and follow BAL standards.
