SMX is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team supporting a Federal customer with a Modernized Data Science Platform. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions, focusing on requirements analysis and data-driven decision-making to support IT transformation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
- Active DoD security clearance is required.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Dev/Ops and CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
- Experience designing and documenting requirements for DoD programs.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS/Azure) and database design.
Responsibilities
- Design solutions using Databricks to meet business requirements.
- Analyze and modify data model solutions.
- Promote code into production.
- Define test cases and verify results.
- Build data models and reports from ERP/legacy data sources.
