Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking an experienced program lead to align DSS study teams with strategic objectives, coordinating cross-functional activities and serving as the operational hub for studies.

You will apply operational analytics to optimize execution, monitor timelines and quality, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with GCP, regulatory requirements, and AbbVie SOPs in a global development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred; PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired.
• 3+ years pharma/clinical research/data management/health care experience, or 5+ years project management experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology; experience managing trials end-to-end preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, ability to influence without authority, strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Aligns DSS study teams with program- and study-level strategies; leads the DSS Study Team and represents DS in cross-functional study teams.
• Acts as single point of contact and accountable operational lead for assigned studies; coordinates DSS study teams to meet objectives.
• Interacts with cross-functional team members to achieve program and study objectives; leverages analytics to optimize execution.
• Ensures adherence to GCPs, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and local regulations; monitors timelines and quality.
• Participates in vendor oversight and provides feedback on study operations and trends in performance.
• Coaches and mentors Data Science Associates; contributes to DSS and cross-functional process improvements.
