Job summary

Abode Services, a leading nonprofit ending homelessness in the Bay Area, seeks a Data Quality Specialist for Alameda County. You will enter, manage, and review program data, ensuring accuracy across the Padmission system and related tools.

You will collaborate with program staff and the Data Team to address data quality issues, run regular change reports, and support training and data quality initiatives. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis using formulas, Pivot tables, Power Query.
• Minimum of 1 year providing database reporting and data entry.
• Experience with HMIS, Salesforce or equivalent data systems.
• Minimum of two years’ customer service in person, phone, or online.

Responsibilities

• Manage centralized inbox and respond to inquiries from system users and partner staff.
• Provide technical assistance for system users via email, in person, or virtually.
• Review Padmission for errors and inconsistencies; troubleshoot with staff.
• Run change reports from Padmission and support data quality efforts.
• Support Database Manager with training and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Abode, one of the largest and most effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a Data Quality Specialistfor our programs in Alameda County.

About The Role: The Data Quality Specialist plays a central role in maintaining the integrity of program data that is collected, analyzed, and reported throughout the agency. This position will enter, manage, and review data for inconsistencies and completeness in the Padmission database in assigned counties. This person works directly with Program staff to address data quality and entry issues in their assigned system(s) and works closely with their supervising Database Manager and other members of the Abode Data Team to help maintain data quality throughout all data systems.

How You Make An Impact:

• Manage centralized inbox, respond to inquiries and support requests from various system users, including various internal Abode teams as well as staff from partner organizations and funders.
• Provide technical assistance for system users via email, virtually and in-person at Abode office locations.
• Review Padmission for errors and consistency issues; troubleshoot issues with staff and follow up with staff to ensure all data is entered accurately.
• Run change reports from Padmission on a regular basis and work directly with data team to support data quality efforts.
• Support Database Manager with training and other projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

How You Meet Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis experience using tools such as formulas, Pivot tables, Power query, etc.
• Minimum of 1 year providing database reporting and data entry.
• Experience working with HMIS, Salesforce or equivalent data systems.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ customer service experience, in some combination of in person, over the phone and/or online interactions.
