Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced CommVault Data Protection Engineer to design, implement, and support backup and recovery solutions for a large-scale federal government environment. You will work across WAN, Windows, Linux, and SQL to ensure data resilience and compliance.

Responsibilities include configuring Commvault, performing maintenance, applying DISA STIGs, troubleshooting complex backup issues, and providing analytics and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection software.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, implement, test, troubleshoot, and support backup and recovery solutions for a federal environment.
• Maintain backup/recovery infrastructure including backups, restores, and capacity planning.
• Implement security updates and patches per federal requirements.
• Provide analytics, reporting within Commvault and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with operations teams to respond to data replication requests.
