Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Data Privacy Director to elevate and operationalize the enterprise privacy program across commercial, clinical, and product environments.

This leadership role combines regulatory analyses, privacy impact assessments, and contract reviews with a strong business-enablement orientation. You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed privacy throughout the data and product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Leads privacy program initiatives and governance across business units
• Experience with regulatory analyses and risk-based recommendations
• Reviews contracts and legal engagements for privacy implications
• Translates privacy requirements into practical controls and patterns
• Operates as integration point between Privacy, Product, and Engineering
• Develops data governance frameworks for clinical and research use
• Embedded privacy principles into data ethics and governance processes

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy impact assessments and regulatory analyses with a risk-based approach
• Review contracts and legal engagements for privacy alignment and approvals
• Embed privacy-by-design into product and software development lifecycles
• Partner with engineering to implement practical privacy controls and reusable solutions
• Operate governance frameworks for data access, sharing, and secondary use
• Drive privacy integration with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and R&D
• Provide mentorship to privacy team members and external resources
