Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Data Platform Manager to own the strategy and architecture of a modern data platform across orthopedics. You will lead a Databricks lakehouse initiative, establish governance, and partner with data governance and product teams to deliver reusable data products.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on engineering, vendor management, and cross‑functional collaboration in a hybrid onsite model with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of relevant professional work experience.
• Multifaceted experience in data engineering or data platforms including technical leadership or platform ownership.
• Proven ability to design and modernize data platforms or lakehouses and translate strategy into a roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own and implement the Data Platform and Data Foundation strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead design of a scalable Databricks lakehouse using medallion architecture.
• Establish governance, testing, CI/CD, and production readiness for data pipelines.
• Lead internal engineers and delivery partners; manage scope, risks, and dependencies.
