Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, seeks a Data Platform Engineering Manager to lead the enterprise data platform team responsible for performance, reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

You will oversee relational, NoSQL, and analytical data stores, drive IaC and GitOps practices, and ensure 24x7 operations and incident response across the estate, including modern data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Two or more strong preferences: DP-600, DP-203, DP-300 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day database engineering and data platform operations.
• Develop team expertise across relational, NoSQL, and analytical platforms.
• Drive IaC, GitOps, automation, and end-to-end delivery.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Engineering or related discipline
