Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Platform to lead a 6–10 engineer team building and operating core platform services in a cloud-native environment.

You will own delivery, people, and technical direction for the team, while driving reliability and scale across hyperscaler, on-prem, and sovereign environments. You will partner with engineers and leadership to align work with architecture, set roadmaps, and coach engineers toward higher impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production software and operating distributed systems.
• 5+ years managing software engineers and delivering teams.
• Experience leading teams delivering complex business-critical systems end-to-end.
• Hands-on with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers designing, building, and operating cloud-native platform services.
• Own end-to-end delivery, prioritization, and roadmap with product leadership.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and operability with SLOs and on-call practices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other teams to align with platform architecture.
• Review designs, contribute to architecture, and mentor engineers.
