Job summary

Brex is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build and scale the core data infrastructure across an asynchronous, multi-service architecture. You will partner with Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deliver data-backed financial capabilities and insights.

The role emphasizes data governance, reliability, and on-call responsibilities within the Data Enablement Platform team. A strong backend/data engineering foundation and hands-on tooling are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Infrastructure, Data Platform or Software Engineering with a data focus.
• Experience building, operating, and maintaining a large-scale modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Data Platform & Infrastructure: Build, scale, and maintain Brex’s core data infrastructure including data warehousing, analytics, streaming pipelines, replication/materialization, data orchestration, observability, access control, and governance.
• Product Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to launch data-backed product features and actionable insights.
• Data Competency & Education: Elevate data architecture standards and engineering practices across the org via mentorship.
• Operational Excellence: Invest in resilient architectures, participate in on-call rotations, and improve pipeline reliability.
