Job summary

Brex’s Data Enablement Platform team builds and operates the systems that deliver data to Brex's products and clients. You will help design and maintain data infrastructure that powers analytics and product experiences across the stack.

The role requires 3+ years in data infrastructure, familiarity with Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt or CDC, and proficiency in Kotlin or Python. You will collaborate across product, data science, and analytics teams and participate in on-call rotations in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data infrastructure or data platform engineering.
• Experience with Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or change data capture (CDC).
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Python.
• Experience building and maintaining a large-scale, modern data stack.
• Experience with data streaming infrastructure, such as Kafka.
• Background in backend engineering or full-stack development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across teams.
• Willingness to work in the office three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and maintain Brex's data platform and infrastructure, including data warehousing and analytics, data streaming, replication and materialization, orchestration, observability, access, and governance.
• Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to develop and launch high-quality products powered by data insights.
• Strengthen data expertise across Brex through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and education.
• Design and maintain resilient data architectures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and continuously improve operational efficiency.
