Job summary

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Datastore team, focusing on integrating external partners with Beacon’s data platform and APIs. You will build PoCs and production-ready code, develop analyses and dashboards, and create tooling that unlocks value from Beacon’s brain data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting data platform solutions.
• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience solving data problems for external partners or clients.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, or R.
• Familiarity with APIs (GraphQL/REST) and ELT/ETL patterns.
• Experience with modern analytics/BI tools (Snowflake, Superset, Looker).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with external partners to understand data needs and translate them into Beacon Datastore solutions.
• Lead technical conversations with partner engineers to enable API integrations and data access patterns.
• Design and implement data solutions on Beacon platforms or customers' platforms to accelerate integration.
• Collaborate with Datastore engineers and product teams to improve data models and tooling.
• Develop internal tooling, queries, and workflows to improve observability and resolve data issues.
• Contribute to documentation and API/data model improvements using partner feedback.
