Job summary

Gore is hiring a Data Engineer/AI Solution Engineer to own the Gore Performance Solution data platform. You will design and implement PostgreSQL architecture, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows for materials data, FFU testing data, and analytics.

You will lead cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure, develop front-end interfaces, and ensure secure access with Entra ID-based RBAC. Hybrid work is available; journey with GPS IT and AR teams to scale solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in database architecture and design, with PostgreSQL proficiency.
• Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience developing AI/ML models or workflow automation.
• Software development experience in Python or similar OO language; Git proficiency.
• Experience building responsive web apps with Angular or React.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and RBAC via Entra ID.
• Travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain PostgreSQL database architecture with permissions and RBAC.
• Develop Python libraries and data-ingestion pipelines at scale.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and web access tools for researchers.
• Own Azure cloud architecture, including Azure Container Apps and Static Web Apps.
• Create frontend apps (Angular/React) for intuitive data access.
• Implement authentication using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC at DB level.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code for reliable deployment.
• Collaborate with AR scientists/engineers, Innovation team, and GPS IT.
