Job summary

Gore is seeking a Data Engineer/AI Solution Engineer to own the materials data platform, from database design to AI-ready pipelines, on Azure. You will collaborate with AR scientists, Innovation, and GPS IT to translate data into scalable digital solutions and contribute to NPD decisions.

Location can be Elkton MD or Newark DE with a hybrid work arrangement. Qualifications include PostgreSQL expertise, Python, Azure, and RBAC, plus frontend skills in Angular/React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 1+ year in database architecture with PostgreSQL.
• 1+ year in AI/ML models or automation workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and Git, web apps with Angular/React.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Entra ID RBAC.
• Experience building REST APIs and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain PostgreSQL architecture with access controls.
• Develop Python libraries and data-ingestion pipelines at scale.
• Build REST APIs and web apps to access data, models, and tools.
• Own Azure cloud architecture including App Services and monitoring.
• Create frontend apps with Angular or React for researchers.
• Implement authentication via Entra ID and RBAC at data level.
• Set up CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code for deployment.
• Design AI/ML workflows for predictive analytics and FFU data.
• Translate materials science data needs into structured models.
• Collaborate with AR scientists and IT to scale solutions.
• Document architecture and establish reusable standards.
