Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a BIC Data Operations Specialist to support reporting, analytics, and automation across firm initiatives. You will operate established reports, run data extracts, and ensure data quality while partnering with senior staff on AI readiness and cloud projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data operations, strong Python/SQL, and experience with APIs or automation tools. This role requires flexibility for extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data operations, reporting, analytics experience.
• Strong analytical skills with structured data.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Familiar with APIs, scripting, or automation tools for dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain reports, dashboards, queries, and extracts.
• Execute recurring data pulls for leadership, audits, and firmwide initiatives.
• Validate output accuracy and reconcile data discrepancies.
• Operate batch jobs and API-based processes built by senior staff.
• Monitor performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Support data requests related to AI tools, governance, cloud readiness, and analytics.
• Assist with documentation and reproducibility of data processes.
• Provide operational support during high volume or time-sensitive initiatives.
• Maintain runbooks, trackers, and execution records.
• Build familiarity with APIs, reporting platforms, data tools, and automation workflows.
• Partner with senior technical staff to expand technical depth over time.
