Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior Data Operations Analyst to uphold reliability and performance of enterprise data platforms across Azure Databricks, ADLS, Oracle, Informatica, SAS, and Cognos. The role emphasizes incident response, root-cause analysis, automation, and cost-efficient storage and pipelines.

You will own disaster recovery, governance controls, and capacity planning while mentoring analysts on the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of job-related work experience beyond degree requirements.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-scale cloud and on-premises data platforms.
  • Background in ITIL process implementation and operational governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability management for data platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis with durable fixes.
  • Build monitoring and observability frameworks for data pipelines and platform health.

The core focus is incident response, root-cause analysis, automation, monitoring, and observability.The role also supports the full lifecycle of data platform changes, including migrations, releases, and upgrades. It emphasizes data integrity, rollback readiness, performance tuning, and cost-efficient storage and pipeline design.In addition, the position owns disaster recovery and business continuity planning, applies security and governance controls, and supports FinOps and capacity planning for data workloads.
