Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior Data Operations Analyst to uphold reliability and performance of enterprise data platforms across Azure Databricks, ADLS, Oracle, Informatica, SAS, and Cognos. The role emphasizes incident response, root-cause analysis, automation, and cost-efficient storage and pipelines.

You will own disaster recovery, governance controls, and capacity planning while mentoring analysts on the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
5+ years of job-related work experience beyond degree requirements.
Extensive experience with enterprise-scale cloud and on-premises data platforms.
Background in ITIL process implementation and operational governance.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability management for data platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
Respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis with durable fixes.
Build monitoring and observability frameworks for data pipelines and platform health.
Design automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions to streamline operations.
Manage migrations, releases, and upgrades with integrity controls and rollback planning.
Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of data pipelines and storage.
Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans meeting RTO/RPO targets.
Apply security and governance controls and support FinOps and capacity planning.
