Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, designs digital solutions across AI, cloud, data, and software engineering for financial services. We seek an experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models supporting BI, analytics, governance, and app development.

The base salary for Charlotte, NC is $110k–$115k/year plus benefits; opportunities to work across 58 offices in 22 countries, plus extensive training and global mobility.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical).
  • Hands-on with ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar tools.
  • Strong SQL and experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications and data platforms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and development teams to define data requirements.
  • Develop data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
  • Create and optimize dimensional models for reporting, analytics, and data warehousing solutions.

  • Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data standards and best practices.
  • Define data integration, transformation, and mapping specifications.
  • Review database designs for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Participate in data architecture and modernization initiatives, including cloud data platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models that support business intelligence, analytics, data governance, and application development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, data warehousing, and financial services data domains.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling (Star/Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.
