Job summary

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is seeking an IT Data Management – Manager to lead 16 IT data management staff and oversee the data warehouse and around 300 application databases. You will guide four teams: Data Warehouse, EAI, Data Administration, and Database Administration, ensuring alignment with program direction and agency standards.

You will collaborate with business partners and executives to deliver on mandates, requests, projects, and agency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ten years of IT data administration with advanced knowledge in data technologies.
• Experience with data architecture, data security, policies, databases, cloud data processing, data storage, data messaging, metadata, data warehouse, and data integration.
• Education may substitute years of experience for a bachelor’s degree and for an associate’s degree in CS/IT or closely related field.
• Five+ years of management or supervisory experience in an IT environment.
• Three+ years of project management or leading agile development teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish priorities and coordinate timely delivery of IT services.
• Lead data management teams and oversee data warehouse and 300 application databases.
• Provide leadership and oversee delivery of data management solutions.
• Work with business to balance priorities and manage OLAs with application support teams.
• Mentor staff, supervise performance, and resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to L&I SDLC standards and architecture guidelines.
