Job summary

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is seeking an IT Data Management - Manager to lead 16 data management staff and oversee the data warehouse and 300 application databases. You will guide four teams and ensure their work aligns with architecture standards and legislative mandates.

You will partner with executives and business stakeholders to deliver projects, provide cost and time estimates for legislation, and balance priorities across teams in a dynamic government environment.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in IT Data administration with advanced knowledge in IT Data technologies, Data Architecture, Data Security, Data policies, Databases, Cloud data processing, Data storge, Data messaging, Metadata, Data Warehouse, and Data integration.

Responsibilities

• Establish priorities and coordinate timely delivery of IT services.
• Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders, executive management, other IT teams, and application development teams to maintain and enhance technology solutions.
• Consult with business on implementation of newly enacted legislation.
• Make strategic judgments and decisions, including strategy, identification of key stakeholders, planning all stages of projects from initial concept to successful implementation.
• Provide leadership and oversee successful delivery of data management solutions.
• Work with program areas to prioritize data management maintenance and operations across multiple Product Teams.
• Operationalize the maintenance and operations of data management so Product Teams can enhance or maintain applications.
