Job Description:

Metas Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Data Pipeline Manager to work remotely with the possibility of working onsite in Atlanta, GA at some point in the future. In this role, you will provide public health programmatic, epidemiological, and scientific analytical support to the CDC Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology. You will manage a cloud-based solution housing complex data pipelines of various licensed large, "big data" sets of healthcare, EMR, and other clinical data. End users are scientists performing research and complex data analysis using tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, and other proprietary tools. Your responsibilities include preparing and automating data loads, performing quality assurance, developing algorithms, writing scripts, and utilizing appropriate tools to manage and refresh data assets. You will also assist clients in understanding their data and its applications. The role is expected to transition to a Palantir Foundry-based solution within 6-12 months, so experience with Palantir Foundry is required.

Responsibilities:

• Produce data extracts and cleaning scripts.
• Perform data quality checks on data pipelines.
• Develop data wrangling and automation tools for data ingestion and preparation.
• Develop and document Python, R, or SQL programs, views, and databases.
• Handle data pipeline procedures in preparation for visualization and dashboard outputs.
• Maintain proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets using Python, SQL, or R.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is desired.
• Verify results and validate with known information sources.
• Develop data management and analysis materials, and visualize results using tools like PowerBI.
• Track technical assistance requests to ensure prompt and consistent responses.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data preparation, automation, and visualization standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, with 3+ years supporting the federal government.
• Experience with data wrangling, analysis, and preparation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL programming.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience with Databricks (preferred).
• Knowledge of Big Data analysis in a public health environment.
• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, and data structures (preferred).
• Experience with public health data analysis.
• Ability to create data cleaning scripts.
• Experience with relational databases and data pipelines.
• Strong analytical, data gathering, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of data visualization and dashboarding tools like PowerBI.
• Ability to support multiple ongoing activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
