Job Description
Metas Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Data Pipeline Manager to work remotely, with the possibility of working onsite in Atlanta, GA in the future. In this role, you will provide public health programmatic, epidemiological, and scientific analytical support to the CDC Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance, and Technology. You will manage a cloud-based solution housing complex data pipelines of various licensed large, "big data" healthcare, EMR, and other clinical data sets. End users are scientists performing research and complex data analysis using tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, and other proprietary tools. Your responsibilities include preparing and automating data loads, performing quality assurance, developing algorithms, writing scripts, and effectively managing and refreshing data assets. The role will transition to a Palantir Foundry-based solution in 6-12 months, so experience with Palantir Foundry is required.

Responsibilities

1. Produce data extracts and cleaning scripts.
2. Perform data quality checks on data pipelines.
3. Perform data wrangling and develop data ingestion and automation tools.
4. Develop and document Python, R, or SQL programs, views, and databases.
5. Package, handle, and manage all data pipeline procedures for visualization and dashboard outputs.
6. Maintain knowledge of coding for managing and analyzing large datasets using Python, SQL, or R.
7. Verify results and validate with other sources.
8. Develop data management and analysis materials, and visualize results using tools like PowerBI.
9. Track technical assistance requests to ensure prompt responses.
10. Support the creation of SOPs for data preparation, automation, and visualization style guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field, with 3+ years supporting the federal government.
• Experience with data wrangling tools, data analysis, and data preparation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL programming.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is required.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is required.
• Experience with Databricks (preferred).
• Knowledge of Big Data analysis techniques in a public health environment.
• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, and data structures is preferred.
• Experience with public health data analysis is preferred.
