Job Description
Metas Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Data Pipeline Manager to work remotely, with the possibility of working onsite in Atlanta, GA, in the future.

In this role, you will provide public health programmatic, epidemiological, and scientific analytical support to the CDC Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology. You will manage a cloud-based solution housing complex data pipelines of various licensed large, "big data" sets of healthcare, EMR, and other clinical data. End users include scientists performing research and complex data analysis using tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, and other proprietary tools. Responsibilities include preparing and automating data loads, performing quality assurance, developing algorithms, writing scripts, and using appropriate tools to manage and refresh data assets. The role will transition to a Palantir Foundry-based solution within 6-12 months, so experience with Palantir Foundry is required.

Responsibilities

1. Produce data extracts and cleaning scripts.
2. Perform data quality assessments on pipelines.
3. Perform data wrangling and develop automation tools for data ingestion and preparation.
4. Develop and document programs and views using Python, R, or SQL, and manage databases.
5. Package, handle, and manage all data pipeline procedures for visualization and dashboard outputs.
6. Maintain knowledge of coding for managing large datasets.
7. Verify results and validate data sources.
8. Develop data management and analysis materials, visualizing results with tools like PowerBI.
9. Track technical assistance requests to ensure timely responses.
10. Support the creation of SOPs for data preparation, automation, and visualization style guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years supporting federal government roles.
• Experience with data wrangling, analysis, and preparation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL programming.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is required.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is required.
• Experience with Databricks and Big Data analysis in a public health environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, and data structures is preferred.
• Experience with public health data analysis is preferred.
