Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

Status: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Pay Range: $75,000 - $105,000

Work Location: Remote but must live in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana and have the ability to travel within the state of Ohio up to 10%.

Job Summary:

The Data Integration Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the secure and accurate exchange of data between our Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and external partners, including Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and the Ohio Department of Medicaid. This position is part of a statewide initiative to streamline data sharing across Area Agencies on Aging and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data integration skills, experience with SFTP-based file transfers, and a working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7. This role requires excellent communication skills, as it involves collaboration with both internal teams and external healthcare partners.

Essential Functions:

Data Integration and Operations

  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines from Microsoft Dynamics CRM (SQL Server) to external partners using secure file transfer protocols (SFTP).
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
  • Automate file generation and delivery processes to support recurring data exchanges.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare data standards.


Healthcare Interoperability and Compliance

  • Collaborate with MCOs and state agencies to align data formats and exchange protocols.
  • Interpret and map data to healthcare standards such as FHIR and HL7 v2/v3.
  • Support compliance with Medicaid and HIPAA requirements in all data exchange processes.


Project and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Participate in planning and rollout meetings with internal teams, MCOs, and state partners.
  • Document integration workflows, data mappings, and interface specifications.
  • Track project milestones and support cross-functional communication.


Technical Documentation and Support

  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all integration processes.
  • Assist in creating SOPs, data dictionaries, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide technical support for integration-related issues and enhancements.


Required Education, Licensing & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Associate’s degree and equivalent experience.


Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in data integration, ETL, or database development roles.
  • Experience in healthcare IT or the public sector is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM data structures (direct experience preferred).
  • Experience with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS) and batch data processing.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedure, views).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS interoperability rules, or other healthcare compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7 v2/v3.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
