A leading radiology group is seeking an AI Integration Specialist to enhance their reporting workflow with AI tools. This fully remote role involves collaborating with radiologists and IT to automate processes through innovative technology. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background in AI and healthcare integration, looking to contribute to a transformative field.
Position: AI Integration Specialist Radiology Workflow Automation
Location: Remote (India-based)
Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Role
About Us:
We are a leading radiology group with clinical operations in the U.S. and a support office in India. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable AI Integration Specialist to join our international team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in artificial intelligence, healthcare informatics, and radiology workflow optimization.
We are currently implementing an AI-assisted radiology reporting workflow in which dictated reports are polished and refined using large language models like ChatGPT. The current workflow is manual, but the long-term goal is full integration and automation through our Radiology Information System (RIS).
Key Responsibilities:
Process radiology reports using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT), enhancing formatting, clinical clarity, and adherence to structured reporting standards.
Assist with the future automation of this process by designing and testing integration between ChatGPT (or other AI systems) and our RIS using APIs, HL7, or FHIR. We recognize that outsourced assistance will be needed and provided in certain areas.
Work closely with radiologists, medical transcription staff, and IT support to refine and streamline the AI-enhanced report editing workflow.
Monitor AI output for accuracy, consistency, and clinical appropriateness, offering feedback and improvements.
Document standard operating procedures, data flow diagrams, and integration roadmaps.
Stay current on emerging AI applications in healthcare, particularly those relevant to radiology.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, healthcare IT, or AI/ML system integration—preferably in a clinical or radiology environment.
Experience working with healthcare data exchange standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) is highly preferred.
Familiarity with radiology IT systems such as PACS, RIS , and clinical dictation workflows.
Exposure to AI platforms like OpenAI, Azure AI, or Google Cloud AI tools is desirable.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to work in a global, collaborative environment.
Must be quite self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing tasks and timelines.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation based on experience and capability.
Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling.
Long-term growth opportunity to lead AI implementation and innovation efforts across clinical domains.
A chance to work at the intersection of radiology, healthcare, and artificial intelligence—shaping the future of medical reporting.
