Job summary

The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) in Boston seeks a Data Integration Manager to lead a team of 5–6 data engineers. You will oversee ETL/ELT development, guide technical direction, and ensure scalable data solutions within Talend and Snowflake environments while balancing hands-on work and leadership.

You will partner with senior staff to plan projects, manage risks, and drive data platform modernization. Strong communication and health data domain knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Five+ years in data engineering, data integration, analytics platforms, or related technical disciplines.
• Two+ years of direct people-leadership experience.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and oversee ETL/ELT processes in Talend and Snowflake.
• Lead a 5-6 person data engineering team, mentoring and evaluating performance.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
• Set clear goals, expectations, and accountability for team members.
• Drive collaboration, continuous learning, and customer service within the team.
• Balance workloads and manage delivery timelines for sustainable operations.
• Identify skill gaps and create development plans to strengthen capabilities.
• Support employee engagement and inclusive initiatives.
