Job summary

Tech Mirrors in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Data Engineer for Data Integration to design and build ETL pipelines moving data from operational and external sources into the BI environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Informatica, Ab Initio, DataStage, and AWS services alongside Python automation, Terraform, and Kerberos-secured connectivity. Onsite with long-term engagement, you’ll drive end-to-end data movement and validation within Snowflake.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Engineering / ETL with strong hands-on AWS DMS for full-load and CDC-based movement.
• Strong Python for automation, data processing, validation, reconciliation, and scripting.
• Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Snowflake experience including data loading, staging, SQL development, performance tuning, and data validation.
• Exposure to data sources like databases, S3, and SFTP with Kerberos for secured connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Fetch and process data from relational databases, S3, and SFTP servers.
• Use Kerberos authentication to securely connect to enterprise databases and data sources.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Configure AWS services such as DMS, S3, IAM, VPC, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and related components.
• Load, validate, and optimize data in Snowflake using stages, file formats, warehouses, schemas, and SQL transformations.
• Troubleshoot DMS replication failures, connectivity issues, authentication errors, latency, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and Snowflake targets.
• Collaborate with application, database, infrastructure, security, and data engineering teams to deliver migration solutions.
• Create technical documentation, data flow diagrams, deployment notes, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Support internal tools or dashboards using full-stack development skills where required.
