Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a data analyst to retrieve, interpret, and analyze data to drive key business decisions and measure program efficacy. You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams to maintain the data life cycle, prepare data, and identify actionable insights using SQL, R, Python, and Power BI.

You will translate business questions into data questions, develop visualizations, and ensure data integrity across relational databases, data warehouses, and data marts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• 5 years Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or Computer science or related field Required.
• Experience with data analysis and analytics tools.
• Math, statistical and analysis skills needed.
• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL query writing skills required.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts desired.
• Experience with R, Python & other languages required.
• Strong teamwork/communication/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with formulating appropriate data questions to meet business and strategic needs.
• Turn business questions into data questions to transform and analyze data to answer those questions.
• Retrieve data from one or more sources and prepare the data for analysis.
• Engage in data profiling of raw data, including health plan, EHR, and third-party data.
• Identify patterns and trends using appropriate techniques and languages.
• Participate in data exploration to find trends or relationships of value to the business.
• Create clean, visually compelling charts & visualizations to aid understanding of insights.
• Support Revenue Cycle data and analytics strategy, processes, architecture, and design of subject areas.
• Collaborate with developers and end users to reflect appropriate business logic.
• Support system-wide data integrity and quality control as identified by leadership.
• Enhances professional growth through education programs and workshops.
• Provides outstanding service to customers; fosters teamwork; and supports fiscal responsibility.
