Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support governance artifacts, metadata, data quality, and stewardship across domains. You’ll partner with business and technical teams to improve enterprise data usability and apply governance standards in a structured, scalable way.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear documentation to translate business needs into governance deliverables within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent, or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 2 years of data governance, data management, analytics, or related experience.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders on data-related efforts.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, and controls.
• Support governance initiatives through completed activities and deliverables.
• Follow governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create and maintain business and technical metadata and data catalog content.
• Document data ownership, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze results and identify issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges.
• Execute testing and validation related to governed data assets.
• Partner with Data Governance Managers to capture knowledge and requirements.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification and ownership alignment activities.
• Maintain metadata for governed data assets and support governance communications.
