Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to oversee data asset integrity within the data warehouse. You will work with an IP agile team to plan, profile, and load metadata, ensuring high data quality across sources and targets.

Responsibilities include data impact assessments, profiling, metadata management, and scoring data quality trends. Collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to SDLC and governance standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Data Governance as a member of an IP agile team and help plan work in sprints.
• Conduct data Impact Assessments to review design for agile initiatives and data integrity impacts.
• Perform Data Profiling and analysis to provide descriptive statistics and insights for data requirements and mappings.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining Business Metadata and technical metadata in repositories.
• Support development of data assets by entering code sets and translation rules in code reference systems.
• Perform Source to Target, Design, and Code Reviews as needed.
• Support remediation of data issues found in testing and production through data analysis.
• Develop, publish, and maintain Data Quality Scorecards and Data Quality trends.
• Identify potential data quality issues from scorecards and profiling and assist in triage and resolution.
• Develop tools to build and maintain data assets using SQL, SAS, Informatica and PowerBI.
• Keep informed and adhere to SDLC, data warehouse standards and governance policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
